Windwos XP Installation Problems
Yesterday a friend asked me if I could reinstall Windows on his Acer Aspire One laptop.Sure, why not.
When I got the laptop I realised that it has no CD-ROM drive, so I decided to use my USB and make it bootable.I followed steps and used programs listed in this tutorial and it was all ok.
I set up boot order on his laptop so that USB HARDDRIVE is set to no.1.
When the installation starts, somewhere at 21% I get an error saying that Setup cannot copy rsvp.exe. So I'm thinking no big deal and I skip it. Some time after that it says it cant copy rpcrt4.dll. And shortly after that rpcss.dll. After the first part of the installation finishes, the computers restarts but is unable to continue the installation process. I get a blue screen saying something like: STOP c0000135 rpcrt4.dll was not found.
The funny thing is, I used this same installation on my home computer ( installed from a CD) and it worked fine.
Is there a solution for my problem? What should I do? Thank you!
I also made a bootable USB with BartPE and was wondering if someone knows how to use it to copy the missing files or something like that?
