Super Smash Bros. (text-based game) - Needs a team!
I've begun brainstorming a new idea for a text-based game. It's sort of a cross between a M.U.D., an rpg game, and Super Smash Bros. itself. I need programmers because my knowledge isn't the greatest in the field. I'm putting finishing touches on the fighting system, which may be a bit confusing at first, but hopefully after a few plays in the actual game will be very clear.
One of the main reasons why I'd like to make this a simple text-based game is to take out the hassle of spriting so many characters and stages. There are a lot less limitations without the use of graphics when it comes to choosable characters and stages, but actions will need to be instead described to the players.
I also hope to make this game an online game, and use a database from a server to avoid constant updates. Many more features will be included as well, such as a Smash Shop to purchase new characters and such, and a moveset editor to edit existing character's movesets. Maybe even a 'Create your own Character' feature in the future.
Please feel free to contact me on AIM with any questions. My screenname is Zelpherus. Thanks for any support you can lend.
