Is Wireless N worth it
Hi Guys,
My Router is finally giving up the ghost so I was thinking of replacing it with a wireless N and have a few questions..
1: my Current router is a g @ 54mb/ps. Is that bytes or bits, if it is bits does that mean I am essentially loosing half my Broadband speed at the router (20MB line).
2: Does the range improve? I would be upgrading the network card too to be N so should the range improve?
3: Is there a difference between a network card and a usb adapter? I would prefer a usb adaptor as it would be at desk height.
4: Is it possible to buy a better cable modem? The one supplied by my ISP is rubbish!
Thanks!
