i have never made a j2me midlet before, but the need has come for me to develop a java me application. i did some research and found out that an appealing UI is difficult to create in java me, and there are various frameworks that address this problem.

what is the best framework to use? LWUIT seems to be the most popular. the appliaction i have in mind is to interact with a SOAP web service. it is basically a chatroom.
