Looking for someone to add internet play to my game
I'm currently making a game with VB6, called "Blast Away!". It's a 2D game with 2 cannons that fire across the screen at each other, trying to blow each other up. The players use left and right (or AD) to move, and up and down (WS) to raise or lower the barrel, to shoot at different angles. Oh and it's not turn-based, unlike most of the games with this sort of aiming mechanism. There are also 9 different powerups, which fall periodically from the sky, giving all sorts of crazy abilities.
Anyway, the game is nearing completion. In fact the only 3 things left to do are write the AI (I'm halfway through it), add sound (still deciding whether or not I will), and your potential role- adding internet play. At the moment 2 people can play on 1 keyboard, or 1 person can play against my abominable creation of AI. I want the users to be able to enter each other's IPs, connect, and play the game against each other. I've had a look at Winsock tutorials for stuff like writing chatrooms, and the basics don't look that hard. However, I don't really have an interest in learning Winsock, and I'd much rather get someone else to add this into the game.
Just to be clear, this isn't a paying gig, it's just an open source project of mine. Full credit would, of course, be given.
Enough of my blabbering, here are some screenshots. They're shrunken for your convenience, the game is normally a maximised window.

If you're interested, PM me and I'll send you the link to the code. I don't want to just post it here yet because I'm trying to wait until it's all done before it's public.
Cheers,
metal
