Hello,
I have built websites accessing databases which is set up and hosted
by my hosting company, but now want to know what differences there
are if I want to for example access a companies product database which
is hosted by them, "in-house" - in other words, the company does not
upload their database to the hosting company.
Eg.
The company needs a website thru which their sales reps can access
their "in-house" database. How does one do that??
I know this may sound stupid, but if this db would have been hosted
at the hosting company I would be able to do it. I've never done it
the other way round.
Is it just a question of changing the properties of your DNS/ODBC Connection
to point to the "in house" database!!??
Thanks and I hope this makes sense,
T
