    [RESOLVED][SQL Server 2005- Express ] Need help while connect to remote server

    Hi all,


    I tried connect to the remote server, However error message pop up!! I changed the SQLServer Surface Area Configuration for services and connection start all application and setting remote connections Using TCP/IP only.Below is my Error Msg..

    Cannot connect to SHLIM.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

    An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server. When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 2)

    2nd Question, Can VS.net 2003 connect to SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition or Express Edition ?
