I combined Visual Basic setup.lst, setup.exe and project.cab files into a self-extracting exe (using the 'distribution unit' project option in Visual InterDev). The setup.exe was selected as a nested setup. The generated exe was then moved to a web server.

When the exe is run via browser, everything proceeds normally until the 'setup is complete' screen is dismissed. Another screen then appears, asking the user to select an application folder. Apparently, the folder selected is where a .dat file is then copied.

Question: what is causing this second screen and can it be eliminated?
