I have an ASCII file which is intended to go to an IBM 6500 printer

The first character on each line is a control character
I've deduced that + means start a new page but I can't find out what the other chars mean

The choices are basically + or - or a digit
I suspect that the digit means insert this number of blank lines but I need to find out for sure
