I'm wondering if you could answer me a simple about Winsock?.

I have 2 winsock controls on a form one loggs on username, password, type i, port, store filename. the other listens for the server to transfer the file.

I have seen a lot winsock apps on the net and they all seem to disconnect after sending a file. in my case i have to logon to the server with username and password. I have even seen comments that you must close the connection after sending a file.

So my question is: Do I have to disconnect completly (both winsocks) after sending a file then logon again to send a nother file to the same server?

I also have to send a quote string as I am sending to a mainframe, does anyone know the equivalant command in TCP/IP (winsock) tranfer.
