[RESOLVED] Taking and manipulating numbers from a textbox
Hi all,
I have a program that needs to take the numbers that the user inputs into a textbox out into a "Long" (maybe?) variable and reduce them (It's the number of seconds for a timer, so I need to reduce it by 1 on each iteration.
The problem is, however I try it, if I try and take the value from the text box (say, "123") and put that value into a integer/long variable, I get a type mismatch error. I also tried making the variable a string, but then I got a type mismatch when it got to the "Variable = variable - 1" line.
Any ideas?
