We get old everyday...
Why is it that a minute long hourglass is still called an hourglass?
maybe it is synonymous to that fact that when the 'ber' months come in, Christmas carolers flock the streets and sing hymns in philippines already. Hardly an hour has passed after I woke up when I heard Christmas Songs are singing on Local radio and that was Sept 1...
Eversince then, the house has been sung a christmas carol to, 2-3 times already (while i was there). Then today at the canteen too.
Maybe it's a lucrative business. After all, 3 months of pure caroling. Fun, maybe, but the other side of the picture, it is just another way of fellowmen to beg for money in exchange for a little passing, out of tune hymns, the lyrics even they themselves are not so familiar with, and I don't hold much hope for them understanding it either. Too bad the real spirit of caroling is lost due to its familiarity.
Wow, Sept 5 already, time feels too long and yet too short. Tomorrow I shall wake up and it will be Christmas. :s
