Hi,

I would like to know what are the techniques needed to model a natural environment terrain and to move around in that terrain.

e.g To model a moutainous terrain and to move around with a first person view on that terrain. The directions can be left,right,foward and backwards.
An example will be a first person shooter game.

I would like to know how to draw and texture map the uneven terrain and followed by how to move on that terrain.

I have read something about using a skybox. What is that?
