I request your valuable suggestions on this

I am planning to develop a software which will manage the inventory in a medical store of a hospital. The functionalities will include receipt of medicines from firms, issue to patients etc. There will be a few reports including current stock position.

Now I am confused whether to use VB or ASP for the development. Which would you suggest for this kind of an application and why?
