My company is interested in starting an ASP .Net project that involves a web database and internal database that should always be in synch. The internal one will be for a windows app that will allow employee's of the company to update inventory and manually create orders in the system. The web database will act as a storefront that will allow customer's to view inventory and create orders for themselves. We want each database to be in synch with the other so the inventory will always be up to date. The reason for having the internal database would be the speed. Does this approach make sense? Does anyone know of a good sample that could give us a head start? Thanks all!
