Hi People,

I want to know whether we can monitor a Tomcat process. Depending on the tomcat instance, i want to fire some events to the user saying 'tomcat is on or off'. I have heard that jvm processes can be monitored and tomcat runs over java.

Can anyone give me some sample codes on this.
