EULAs
Hi,
Anybody here know anything about EULAs? I'll need one, and I don't know what to do about it. Can I buy one? Can I just copy one from, say, Office and change all the names and addresses? Do I have to get a solicitor involved?
As far as I am aware, a EULA is just a (binding) statement setting out the conditions to which the user must agree before using the software and disclaiming just about everything. As such, there's no "copyright" and so surely I should be able to just use as a template any old EULA I like, or make one up if I so choose. I just have to be aware that this could come back to bite me if something happens and I end up in court, not properly protected because I didn't get a solicitor to look over it first.
Any comments / etc?
Cheers
