Function Point Analysis (FPA)
Do you think Function Point Analysis (FPA) is any good in determining project size? In the real world, I go by my coding experience and intuition about scheduling a project estimate and touch wood, I've
always been near accurate.
But for my MCA exams, I have to mug this stuff up. So, I am trying to "think" like this author guy and see if he makes any sense at all. But I've had this constant battle in my head going on where in I am yelling a loud "Noooooo, you know not nothing," repeatedly.
I downloaded the FPA 4.1 standard and saw it in all its rigour. It's a crock of **** basically, I personally believe. With all that rigour and formality, it is utterly useless.
Am I the only one with that train of thought?
