I want to make a simple software that a few clients can connect to each other or maybe a server over the internet. Just for now it would be as simple as each person with the ability to send chat or small graphics similiar to emoticons to all the other clients. I just don't know any code for communicating over the internet part. I'm am best with VB6. Just wondering if there are some keywords or methods used for this type of thing that I could google.
