    Soft Power Button [Resolved]

    I have Gigabyte 6VXD7 motheboard and have a slight issue with the power button.

    I can power up the computer but when I shut it down it does not go off automatically. Instead Windows 2000 just brings up a screen saying its safe to turn off the computer. It also shuts off immeadiatley when the power button is pressed whereas on my other computer Windows intercepts it and shuts down cleanley.

    I have had a look at the motherbaord configuaration and it says "Soft Power On" which I assume is what most computers are set up as now.

    Here is what it says in the manual. I have the power switch cable plugged into the PW pins - but I'm not really sure what the Open and Close bits mean and also the "Green Mode".
