Totally Unrealated but interesting
Sorry about this Electroman, and other mods....
It pertains to my gaming, cuz its where all my games end up and are tested before i send out to people.
Alright my brother ran plain old Windows Disk CleanUp (the one you find in your C Drives Property window)...He is using XP, now if that isn't his first mistake, his second would be letting windows handle anything....
But anyway, I've never had a problem with DiskcleanUp on 98, or ME, or ever; Well this damn cleanup deleted everything, not folders tho just files...not weird files, just command ones (*.exe, *.ini, *.com, *.bat, *.sys, *.dll) and a bunch more, but it left ones like read.me, or pdf, self made extensions...It fragged it all!
Now deleting a file just tags the file on the drive as in-active, which means it no longer shows up anywhere and any new information wanting that space gets it...Which is how UnDelete works, even Un-Format.
I have avoided and always will avoid Xp so I don't know much of its features (other than network bridge I like), but Xp doesn't have an undelete, Xp has ****ty Dos or no Dos. All UnDelete programs I can find cost money or allow a 64kb max per file..lame
Any help? Any reference of this before?
