A nice longstanding issue. Now Here is an idea. We could add a little button that only the threads starter can press once his thread is resolved and once he presses it it can either add [RESOLVED] to the thread title or it adds a little image next to the thread. Not sure exactly how you'd do this, but it's just an idea I came across....while sitting here...alone.
