A client of the company I work for has asked us to do general calculation on how much power a PC will consume if left ON overnight from 6:00 PM to 9:00 AM while the monitor is switched off.

Now I couldn't find any straight method so I guess I need to do it in old fashion way.

Leave the pc overnight and join some sort of measuring device which tells how much power was used when the pc was not being used.

Just want to know that what kinda device can I use to do so...? We have a multimeter in the office if that can be used somehow in conjuction with other device.
