Printing to slow on dos based printers using crystal

basically i have developed a app for a store using vb & sql as backend and reporting tool is crystal while preparing memo of sales for customers it is taking to much time is there any facility to make printing faster for sales invoice some packages to my knowledge use some type of data dump thru DOS OR API
