Monitoring computer temp.
Just recently I had to install another power supply, my old one went dead. But after looking over the manual I found out that there is a 3pin fan signal connector, with this cable I am suppose to have the ability to monitor the temp of the computer.
How can I do this, I did plug in the 3 pin connector to the only 3 pin slot on my motherboard, which was my chassis fan connector. No was this the right thing to do? If not let me know and I will pull it out. If it was the right thing to do, how do I get to monitor this temperature, is there software that I need, or what needs to be done. This is an Antec power supply that I am talking about.
I appreciate everyones help.
Thanks
