[Resolved] Changing User Directory in Windows

I have two partitions on my hard drive, one for the OS and one for files. I want to, from time to time, format the OS partition, but not lose my files. Hence the partitions.

The problem is that windows stories the user information (desktop properties, favorites, cookies, etc) in C:\WINDOWS\Profiles\ on Windows ME.

I found a registry value that specifies this folder, and tried changing it to a folder I setup on my other partition (D:\). I copied the files from the C:\ folder to the D:\ folder, then rebooted.

This didn't work, however, and it loads the default (ie, no user) files for each user setup.

So my question is: how can I change this and get it to work as planned?
