The .NET framework in other OSes
I know I've asked this question before, however I was under the impression that the .NET can be installed onto Linux and Unix.
When I asked this question, I was pointed to the mono project.
My question is, isn't the mono project a compiler to natively compile things? Will a VB version be out soon?
Developing applications that could work on other OSes with the .NET framework looks promissing, since it is alot easier to develop in VB.NET instead of wxWindows and C++(though, they are getting closer and closer to VB ease of use)
