I just got back from Books-A-Million and all I have to say is I'm truly disapointed. I went with the intension of finding and purchasing a decent ado.net book but I just can't justify spending 40.00 to 65.00 dollars for books that are (A), either doesn't spend enough time on specifics on things, just kinda breeze through topics with no real meat (Hell I can get that off the Internet for free), or (B), way too much overkill, I mean you can only write so many pages about setting the text on label control, but these authors manage to fill up these thick books with total reduncancy jiberish just to get the "Big Book" effect. Anyways I looked at the 8 or so Ado.Net books they offer and I ended up leaving empty handed.. The only book I found that I actually considered buying was a thin little O'Rielly's Ado.Net in a Nutshell for 45.00 but since all the examples were in C#, I figured I would pass.... Well that's my gripe for the week... Thanks for listening, err reading...
