[RESOLVED] Kinda like duel booting, only not ... :S Please help, anyway.
Hi people, hope you're well.
I have obtained a copy of WinXP. I am currently running Win98se. Now, I want to upgrade, but I've got a load of rubbish on this machine already, so ideally I'd like to format and start again. This isn't practically possible for reasons I won't go into now, but what I would like to do is sort of like partition the drive such that I am given a choice of which OS to start up at startup. Simple enough - duel booting. My problem is, I'd like to be able to sort everything on the new XP partition and then format the old partition but merge it into the XP one so I get the free space.
Do you see what I mean? So it's really duel-booting, but then merging the partitions at the end of it so I have one drive again.
I don't think I've explained myself very well - please ask if you need anymore info.
