ok.. any help and advice is appreciated. I will give a brief rundown of what I am looking to do.
I am developing a purchasing application for my company, and am about to work on the printed reports.
Basically I am recreating the existing forms for faxing and records purposes (so I will be printing formatte dindividual records).
As I see it, I have 3 options.
1) use the printer object.
I don't think this is an especially viable option, due to the amount of work it owuld be to set up the forms, and also the lack of any real dynamic code... I think it would be a ***** to set up the forms to print on an as of yet unkown number of pages, and stil have it come oput looking proffesional.
2) use crystal reports.
We have the program here, but I really have no idea how well it would work, or the amount of work it owuld take to implement. Any opinions on this would be great.
3) Visual Basic Data Report object. this looks like it MAY be the best bet, but I have no idea how flexible it is. The few examples in the MSDN library are very thin, and all seem to deal with printing multiple record reports. Any resources you can direct me to on this would be great.
If there are any other options I am open. Third party controls and whatnot are not out of the question. If I could find something that would help to save a significant amount of time would go over very well I think.
