Cross language communication{Resolved}
My friend is working on a project for school and he asked my advice on how he could code an application that could communicate with programs written in another language. I told him that Sun developed an older technology called RPC(Remote Procedue Call) but im not sure if RPC is still in use. I know that RMI is commonly used for this but RMI is limited to communication between Java programs on different hosts. Any suggestions? Maybe CORBA or SOAP? Thanks.
