I want to create my own CD Ripping program, but have no idea how the CDDA/DAE thing works. Does this have to be done through ASPI or MSCDEX or can it be done without the aid of either of these? If I have to use ASPI where can I get sample code (I tried Adaptec already, to no avail). Oh and also how do I get the info out of CDPlayer.ini for the CD that's in the drive? Each CD has a unique code (listed in said .ini file), how do I read this?
