A friend of mine is writing a small application that only allows the user to enter information into a database, and then retrieve it. He writes this in Visual Basic.NET and it works just fine in Windows XP, but not in Windows 98.

The problem is that the application will be used on Windows 98. Can it really be that applications developed in vb.net doesn't work in Win98, or is there a way of making it work? Perhaps when starting up a new project or something?
