OK, so i'm gonna get flamed for this, but here goes!
I've read a few past threads about it, but i thought i'd raise a similar point
I was discussing programming languages with a colleague. I told him I prefer to develop in vb, but he thinks I should begin learning C++ because (and i quote) 'it's miles faster'
I know the compiled code should in most cases be noticeably faster, but what about development time - am I right in thinking that normally takes longer to develop in c++, or is that a load of old rubbish??
I'm not trying to decide which is the best language (for me, the best one has to be the one I know), but just to see what a few other people think??
