I have a project where my clent uses Olympus Digital Voice recorder. He want's some programs to run automaticaly when the device is placed in the cradle. Right now there is a program from Olympus DSS Player that detects the USB device and can automaticaly download the recordings to the PC. My problem is to figure out how to either detect when the download is done, download the recordings myself from the USB device, or some other solution so there is NO user intervention.

Any ideas?

there seems to be a DLL that the Olympus program is using to get the info from the recorder but there is no DOc's on how the API's are structured or how they are used.
