I have been installing, uninstalled and testing beta releases for some time from last december to the 2003 beta release two months ago. I formatted my machine on Monday back to the 1.0.3705 build so I could upload to 1.0 production servers not running V 1.1.

The problem I have run into, and I hope somebody else has seen it too, is that I can't install .NET. The process hangs right at the end (6 mins left) at installing OLE DB. The process that is running is the Microsoft Distributed Transaction Co-ordinator (msdtc.exe) but it just hangs, taking up 100% of the CPU but not doing anything. I have to reboot the machine to get the process to stop and now I can't even uninstall the 3 gigs of .NET on the machine because the install was never completed.
I hope I explained this OK and if anyone has any ideas it would be most appreciated
