Quick question (I hope) for you guys..

I'm working on a dialog app with a DAO recordview. I'm trying to put some custom logic in the events for the next/prev/last/first. So I add to View::OnRecordFirst/Next.. etc.. my logic works when the panes are clicked, but then the recordset move no longer works. I'm afraid I'm overriding the functions of the pane. Any ideas? Is there a better place to stick this code (no smart@ss comments..<G>)..
