DVD and MPEG
Ok, correct me if I am wrong , but this is my understanding of dvd and mpeg:
Dvd is a high quality recording that takes up about 5GB for one movie.
mpeg format can fit the same movie in about 600 MB without noticeably compromising quality as far as humans are concerned. It's kind of the mp3 of movies, if you will.
So basically an mpeg movie is the same quality as dvd, and can fit on a regular CD-ROM.
Is that correct?
