problem in windows 2000 loading

hai all

i am having problem in windows 2000 loading. The problem i am facing is

After i gave the user name and password (in network mode or in stand alone mode). It is saying " your system has no paging file or paging file is too small " and it is saying to increase the paging file size by entering through my computer.

But my system is not loaing the desktop. once i get desktop then only i can do the modification. after this error the system again comes to the login prompt.

I tried with safe mode also it is not entering to the desktop.

are you out of hdd space? that could be a problem with the page file not working
