System backup
I was wondering what kind of nightly/weekly script I would need to run a backup. I want to backup all of the pages in my web folder to an external PC or external server. I'm guessing I would need a perl script plugged into the cron.weekly folder but how would I make it so that it would transfer files over to another entire system?

do this. hightlight all and copy to a disk then tak ethat disk with you to the other system and put it in and paste all those file. tha tis the only way you can do that as perl and php are serverside and have no access outisde. unless you used somehting like a ftp, but then again why re-invent the wheel as there are a lot out there.

You know what, you're right. The best answer is the simplest one. Just FTP my web folder every Monday or whatever and get some coffee while it DLs... ugh, I always gotta make everything so complicated.
Thanks Scoutt and that PHPmyAdmin thing is a godsent. Thanks for recommending that earlier
