uh justin the AX-7 is a heavy heatsink
uh ok i was just reading and AMD reccomends a 300 gram limit for heat sinks, the AX-7 which i am oging to buy is like 430 grams WITHOUT the fan, is this thing going to fall off my motherboard Also is it worth paying $14 (CND) for a CPU shim?

No crap....mine's got to be heavier
AX-7 is a gigantic heatsink mostly because well it uses an 80mm fan. It fits fine on a lot of people's boards-- I checked a compatibilty list and your board was listed on there.
If it gets you nervous pick up an Alpha PAL8045-- it has a secure screw-mount but I don't think it's really a reason for concern TBH.
AX-7 is a pretty popular heatsink, one of today's most popular among enthusiasts...

Make sure you get a tube of AS3 and an 80mm fan too. You cant put this heatsink on without some AS3.
i linked you to the AS3 instructions, right?
