    DivX, VirtualDub, and Windows XP

    That's what I've got. I'm trying to play it, and the audio comes through but the video is black. It plays fine in WiMP.

    Fiddle around with your Display Acceleration in Display Settings, and DirectDraw Acceleration in Virtual Dub.

    Nope, didn't work Even if I just open it in VD and then re-export it as an old-style AVI, the output AVI is all black, too.
