Reference add ins at run time

How do you references add-ins at run time?
I need some functions which are contained in an add in, is it possible to reference it when I press the run button?

If so Click on the Project menu item, select Components and search for the addin in the list. Tick the check box and click Ok. You should see the addin in your toolbox, double click it to add an iteration to your form. Then away you go.

If not in components then either

a. Not registered

b. Needs a reference added to the project
