Hello,
I've been hearing that Microsoft DirectX SDK will help me learn DirectX programming. I don't want to go right ahead and download it because of its huge size. Please tell me, is it worth me downloading it to learn DirectX programming?
Thanks

In the long it, it all depends on your ability, but I think it's a worth while download because it will help you get a solid understanding of DirectX. The SDK includes C++ Sample code as well a VB code (unlike some of the previous versions).

You're welcome. Downloading the SDK might be a hassle but if you use a program, such as Go!Zilla, you can schedule your download to begin at 12:00 (or whenever you go to sleep) and have the file downloading all night (or set a time limit e.g 5 hours).
You can download it at http://www.gozilla.com
