Hi,
Could you please tell me where the registry entry for modem options for "Wait for dialtone before dialing" and the noise the modem speaker makes?
Thanks

why do you need the registry entry all of that information can be accessed and changed in the modem properties in control panel
Some people have told me they don't think a fat penguin really embodies the grace of Linux, which just tells me they have never seen a angry penguin charging at them in excess of 100mph. They'd be a lot more careful about what they say if they had.

Because I want to use VB to make a shell to change the settings, but as it was registry related, I thought I'd ask the question here too.

That noise is the sound of the modem trying to connect. It's what you hear if you pick up the line. It's not a wav file that you can change. You can't make your modem sound like Homer Simpson when it's connecting...

lol, I know that! I meant the volume of the noise the modem makes! Sorry if I didn't make that clear!
thinking about it, having the voice of Homer Simpson play while connecting to the internet, would be, erm, strange...!
