what about this card ??
i need to change my PCI MATROX Mystique graphics card to an AGP one, the thing is i need a cheap one, and as it is for my Linux box i am not too worried about 3D graphics and such, my local computer shop can sell me this one for £16 so what do you think of it
Creative Labs CT6932 Vanta 16MB AGP
and i can't seem to find any info on it
cheers
Some people have told me they don't think a fat penguin really embodies the grace of Linux, which just tells me they have never seen a angry penguin charging at them in excess of 100mph. They'd be a lot more careful about what they say if they had.

It's an old TNT Vanta
It totally sucks for 3-D and probably not the best at 2-D but if all you want is something that'll show text on the screen, get it

To be honest, if you don't care about 2-D performance, and you don't care about 3-D performance, what is there to read in a review?

Little over 3 years old I think...it's pretty old, but if you're just using it for basic stuff it's fine

Uh, if you want 2D performance go for a Matrox card... excellent at 2D, iffy at 3D.

Agreed. But you probably can't get one for $16.

Dude, you JUST said you didn't care about 3-D performance..
TNT Vanta sucks for 3-D performance so it's not gonna be much better :\

well i have installed the card, it is actually the 32MB version now, but there is a terrible shadow on the screen now, does any one have any ideas why this is happening and anything i could do to resolve the issue, btw i am running SuSE linux 7.3
