Now, I need to convert multipage TIFF images from grey scale to monochrome without losing any image quality. I managed this quite successfully using the activeX controls supplied with imaging for windows, but when it came to distributing the application there were dependencies missing that I cannot sort out.

So, I went to eastman software and downloaded imaging for windows 95 and this resolved the distribution problem but was lacking in compatibility of certain types of TIFF(i.e. the ones I am trying to convert) which are supported by imaging for windows in windows 98.

So, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place, I need some sort of DLL or OCX that's freely available and can accomplish this task.
