    hi,

    i was wondering if anybody knew a way of getting the cd text off of a music cd and placing it into a text file, the items that i would like to include are the same as

    cdplayer.ini on your computer,

    please help me

    I cannot answer you question but there is a Sample file comes with VB6 called MCI. It does stuff with CD's like play, read, get name etc. I don't know if this helps.

    Erm

    Audio CDs dont come with CD texts, the ini file is on the windows system under a registry key for the CD's Serial number, as for other players that automatically get the song titles, thats also a Serial number, that is contacted throught a CDDA Server that searches for the Serial number, and returns the song listings, and what not.

    kb, not true. Some Audio CD's indeed have a play list. This info is most likely in the header section of a CD.

    well you could try msdn.microsoft.com and search on CDDA , or something like that, what other sites have you tried lately, you could check out tek-tips.com as well which is one of the major sites I goto.
