    Update

    Hi
    Let say I have developed a simple program with a menu line

    File Edit View

    and the program have been distributed.


    Later, the user request for an additional menu item , say Report
    and the new menu line is to read as follows

    File Edit View Report


    How do I go about to write a patch so that I can distribute to
    the existing user to install the patch.. without repacking the whole
    program ??

    Anybody can assist ?

    no patches. you redistribute the whole program in most all cases.
