    Here we go again

ok, just diving into vs.net and I have a question about toolbar's n menubars. Am I not looking hard enough or did they forget to include a toolbar and menubar that is office xp style or the same style as the .net development environment itself?

There is a tool bar control. Its in the toolbox. The thing about the toolbar control is, you have to add the icons and button to it yourself.

If its not in the toolbox, right click the toolbox and click customize, add the controls you want.

    Hope that helps

I think you can choose the "flat" style in the properties, although I'm more partial to pre XP style.

I am using the final version.

I know how to add buttons to a toolbar and menu items to a menu.

The point I am making is that they are not the same visually as the office xp toolbar and menu. They are closer to the IE6 toolbar and menu bar but still not even totally the same.

If you have office xp and IE6 running on windows XP, open them up and note how different they are. What happened to standard GUI's in windows? I did find a link to a tool that will let you get around this but it is over $100.00. I realize this is not a large ammount of cash but Am I wrong to expect something like this to be included after spending thousands of dollars on the new visual studio.
